No one involved in Beechmont Players shows receives one penny for their efforts. The thousands of hours that go into a production are all volunteered. Every bit of ticket money goes to paying for our productions (show rights, costumes, set construction, warehouse and theater rental, insurance, props, etc.).
For some time we’ve been trying to create a building fund that would let us buy or build a warehouse rather than renting one, so that we could have a room to house costumes, and maybe a rehearsal space in addition to storing our more than $25,000 worth of sets and props. These things would save us money in the long run, and allow us to improve the productions we offer you.
There are two ways you can help!
1) You may be surprised to hear that we don’t turn down donations! So please consider becoming a theatrical “angel” and making a donation to the Beechmont Players. We promise we’ll use the money well (and we’ll put your name in every program so everyone else knows how cultured and generous you are). You can be a Featured Player ($100+) Supporting Player ($50+) or Member of the Chorus ($10+). Our address is PO Box 54534, Cincinnati, OH 45254.
2) Keep an eye open for new warehouse space for us to rent (or buy, if the price is right). We’re looking for 2,500-3,500 square feet somewhere within ten miles or so of the Anderson Center Theater on Five Mile Road (you’d be amazed at how often we make that trip!) It can be hard to hear about properties when they become available, so having extra people looking would be a big help! You can call our ticket line at (513) 233-2468 to “tip us off” if you hear about something.
